CCTV footage of three men attempting to kidnap a young woman in Auckland Park has emerged on social media.
The woman is walking on the sidewalk when a black car pulls up besides her and two men jump out. She attempts to flee but the perps catch up and a struggle ensues.
Another vehicle appears but drives past without intervening, the driver possibly fearing it’s another creative hijack tactic. Soon after they attempt to drag her inside their car but give up for some reason and drive off as the terrified woman flees. It is unclear whether they took any of her belongings or not.

Some Tweeps in the comments section suggested that the perps were apprehended on Monday night

Previous kidnappings in Auckland PArk
In a previous incident in Auckland Park an 18-year-old student was not fortunate enough to escape as she was abducted earlier this year, IOL reported.
Kwanele Mazibuko was kidnapped along with a male companion identified by her flatmate as her boyfriend. The couple were taken with when the boyfriend’s car was hijacked by two armed men.
