South Africa’s new visa rules really aren’t that big a deal, according to Lufthansa

The German carrier has had to add extra flights to Cape Town, as tourist demand for one of the world’s most loved holiday destinations has increased.

Sure, there were some teething problems, but Lufthansa’s new general manager for SA, Dr Andre Schultz doesn’t seem to think it’s all that bad.

“While initially the roll-out of the visa requirements were confusing, and from my experience there has been very few incidents and I don’t know of a single person who has been sent back, our flights are full.”

According to Traveller24, Germany’s carrier will be increasing their Munich to Cape Town flights from five a week to one every day, to cope with the amount of people hoping to come to the Mothercity throughout the European winter.

“The demand for Cape Town as a top leisure destination is the reason for adding two additional flights during South Africa’s summer season effectively increasing the seat offer by almost 20%.”

Not only will they be upping the amount of flights to Cape Town, but the carrier is also upgrading its Frankfurt-Johannesburg route with Boeing’s newest and sexiest plane, the 747-8.

So bottom line folks; where there’s a will there’s a way and if the Germans can deal with it then so can you.
