Wattpad

If you are looking for some good books to read while interested in writing yourself, then this is the perfect app for you. Wattpad is a platform that allows new and upcoming authors to publish their works online for the world to see and read. Most of the books on here are written by amateur authors, and their books will have you binging for days.

A bonus is that you can write and publish some of your own work on this platform, and who knows? Maybe your books could be added to the Wattpad Star programme. This allows the top authors on Wattpad to get paid for their work and gives them the opportunity of possibly getting their work published.

There are different competitions you can enter as an author with awesome prizes to be won. Entering these competitions gives your work more exposure and higher ratings. But if you are just here because you are looking for a good horror story, or steamy novel, then this is the perfect place for you.

AnyBooks

Wattpad not for you? You prefer reading books by professional authors? Well, do not worry. I got you covered.

AnyBooks is the perfect app for offering you free and unlimited access to any book that you heart desires. The catch? All you must do is sign up for an account which can be done in a few easy steps. This app contains any book (as the title suggests) that you might be interested in reading. Whether it be Fifty Shades of Grey or the Harry Potter series, AnyBooks has it all. All you have to do is open your app, search and then download it to your library.

And a little tip for any students who might be reading: this app is perfect for when you want to save a bit of money in the beginning of the year when having to purchase novels for a course because chances are that AnyBooks has it all.

Radish

Lastly, we have Radish. It is a bit tricky to navigate this app as it has quite a few things you have to keep in mind. While Radish has a free version, there is also the option to upgrade to premium. However, on the free version, while you still get to enjoy your favourite books, there are some catches.

The first three chapters of a book is free, and the next chapter becomes ‘locked’ for a week. After the week is over, they are ‘unlocked’ and remain free for the rest of the story. You could skip ahead and buy the chapter with coins. Unfortunately, unlike on Wattpad, there is no way to earn coins and one must purchase them.

It is important to note that a lot of the books you would find on Radish is often available for free on Wattpad as a lot of Wattpad authors also upload their work on Radish in order to make an income off of their stories. Overall, this app is a good one, but not as simple and easy to use as Wattpad and Anybooks.
