Microsoft has released a new trailer featuring Dave Bautista as Marcus Fenix for Gears 5. The actor will appear as part of the new game update.

Fans should not worry though, as Bautista will not replace the character’s current voice actor, John DiMaggio. You will be able to choose his voice and likeness as a new option in the game.

The trailer was unveiled in a tweet from the official Gears of War Twitter account which showcased footage from the update, like Bautista’s score lines for the game.

Bautista has always wanted the role of Marcus Phoenix; the actor has even been a part of the Gears 5 multiplayer component.

This will be his first appearance in the single-player campaign; the Guardians of the Galaxy actor is really passionate about the Gears franchise. I’m actually looking forward to seeing what he brings to the role of Fenix.
