Gearbox Software is finally done with the new Borderlands 3 DLC and will be releasing it on 25 June for our enjoyment. Before this however, we have Takedown at the Guardian Breach to look forward to on 4 June.

The new DLC is called: Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption and is apparently being made in a western theme.

Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption

Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption will feature an all new setting to play in and an all new cast of characters to meet such as Juno and Rose who have their homestead on the edge of town. All this, while having a mysterious unseen narrator, replacing Marcus just for this DLC, commentating on our new adventure.

The game is set on a new desert planet called Gehanna where we are tasked to collect on a sheriff’s bounty for the Devilriders gang.

The notorious Devilriders are a gang of outlaws terrorising the small town of Vestige.

Your actions and accomplishments will have an impact on this small town and all its inhabitants as you do your part in an attempt to help “build the town back up”. You do this through story missions and crew challenges.

This new DLC will feature new gameplay additions such as your very own “steed” called the JetBeast hoverbike, which will be fully customisable to your taste and can also be fitted with heavy artillery like mortar weapons and of course some trusty dual machine guns.

New cast members, Juno and Rose

Rose is the first character we will meet in this new DLC. She will act as our guide and our ally and helps us fight and find our way into the town as her family has been on Gehenna for generations and she undoubtedly knows the lay of the land.

Juno is cast as a rough and tumble brawler with a chequered past, who has reformed her ways and tries to redeem herself to the townsfolk of Vestige by helping us take-down the Devilriders gang.

An added little bonus is that the prisoner that you have freed early on in the DLC is so grateful to you that he goes to the saloon and writes a song about the mission you have just completed and each new conquest that you complete he will update his song, eventually singing about your whole adventure.

Gehanna is also littered with interactable gameplay objects, including telezappers which will teleport players and traitorweed that will turn your enemies to your side.

This DLC will be a welcomed add on to the already popular Borderlands franchise and will undoubtedly give hours of enjoyment to Borderlands fans everywhere.
