Apple Arcade: These are some of the exciting games you can look forward to

Apple Arcade is launching on 19 September 2019. Here is some of the exclusive content to look out for.

Apple announced its online game subscription service – Apple Arcade – during its media event held on 10 September. The service is set to launch on 19 September; these are some of the exclusive titles you can look forward to.

The new service is available from Apple’s online marketplace and costs $4.99 per month (or R72 for us South Africans). It will include more than 100 game titles made for Apple devices. At the time of publishing, 53 titles have been confirmed.

Apple Arcade in 100 seconds

One subscription will allow a whole family to download and play the included games, which are compatible with not just iOS devices like iPhone and iPad, but Apple TV and MacBooks as well.

Apple Arcade highlights

The Bradwell Conspiracy

The events in the Bradwell Conspiracy are set after an explosion at a museum, and you need to escape the scene. It’s a first-person-exploration focused puzzle adventure game with a rich narrative, immersive environment and challenging puzzles.

Sayonara: Wild Hearts

Sayonara Wild Hearts is described as a “euphoric music video dream about being awesome, riding motorcycles, skateboarding, dance battling, shooting lasers, wielding swords and breaking hearts at 200mph.” Sounds like fun!

Manifold Garden

Manifold Garden is a first-person exploration puzzle game that re-imagines physics and architecture. The game is so gorgeous, we can almost guarantee you’ll spend most of your time just taking screenshots.

Super Impossible Road

Super Impossible Road, created by Wonderful Lasers, on Apple Arcade features a split-screen and online multiplayer modes in addition to the single-player mode.

Skate City

Skate City “brings the heart and soul of street skating to life”. Use multi-touch controls to navigate city streets and become the ultimate skater playground.
