We discovered ten valuable WhatsApp features that will make your life easier. The features are as follows:

1. Send your current location to contact

WhatsApp not only enables you to upload images and videos to friends and exchange contacts or documents, but it also allows you to send your location. This is extremely useful if you’re meeting a partner somewhere, even more so if you want a Live Share Location, which enables your contact to see your Live Location for the time you specify, allowing them to follow you. The durations are set to 15 minutes, one hour, or eight hours.

Android: Select Chat > Specific chat > Tap on the paperclip to the right of the message box > Location > Share Live Location > Select time frame.

You will view who has access to your live position by navigating to Settings > Account > Privacy > Live Location.

2. Search all your chats

Someone may have given you their address, or you may recall discussing a specific program or video, so you don’t want to browse through all your messages in search of it. On iOS, a search bar appears at the top of all the chats. There is a search field on Android.

You may type everything into the search bar, from the beginning of a town name to a particular term, and all chats that include that word will show below as specific messages. As you tap on the Search bar, a range of choices, ranging from Photos to Audio, appears, helping you to narrow your search.

3. Search a specific chat

This is available if you choose to look for a single conversation rather than all of your chats. Perhaps you discussed a particular meeting location, or they gave you their contact number or address.

Android: Chats > Customizable chats > Navigate to the top-right toolbar > Search > Enter the search term in the search bar that appears at the top of the specific conversation.

4. Make a video or voice call using WhatsApp.

WhatsApp is not only about texting; it can even be used to render video and voice calls. WhatsApp calls are made over your internet network, not your plan’s minutes.

Android & iOS: Chats > specific chat> In the top right corner, click the call or video button.

5. Find who you talk to most.

Who is your absolute favorite? It might not be who you believe. There is a way to determine who you contact the most and how much storage each user consumes, among other items.

Android & iOS: Settings > Storage and Data > Manage Storage > At the right, you’ll see several contacts sorted by the amount of storage they use.

6. Quickly delete all media files from a particular chat.

It is possible to uninstall the entire contents of a session, including notes, images or videos, GIFs, addresses, places, voice messages, records, and stickers. For instance, you can remove all notices in a particular chat or community chat but retain all photographs.

Android & iOS: Select Contact > Manage > Select > Settings > Storage and Data > Manage Storage > Choose Contact > Manage > Select > Select the items you want to remove (videos or images) > To uninstall, tap on the bin.

If you tap the circle in the bottom left corner after tapping on the touch, you will filter by which files take up the most space, which are the newest, and which are the oldest.

7. Check and erase objects to facilitate memory.

WhatsApp also made it easy to handle the contents of your device’s drive. Not only do you see which chats use the most bandwidth, as stated previously, but you can also see which files exceed 5MB in size and have been forwarded several times.

iOS and Android users can navigate to Settings > Storage and Data > Manage Storage. Under the Review and Remove Items line, press either the more significant than 5MB or the forwarded several times tabs and then pick the items to delete. As with individual chats, sorting is accomplished by clicking the circle in the bottom left corner.

8. Use Web WhatsApp

WhatsApp is not a mobile-only application. There is a mobile application that syncs anything from your computer and a laptop application as well. Access WhatsApp from the browser at web.whatsapp.com or via the desktop app. A trick to use multiple accounts on a single PC is by using BlueStacks to emulate the android app to run on your computer.

Then, open WhatsApp on your phone and navigate to Settings > WhatsApp Web/Desktop > Scanning the QR code using a web browser or desktop application > Follow the instructions.

Both the web and desktop apps can display chats and notifications on your screen, making for fast and easy responses.

However, the phone must be linked for it to run, and if you break connectivity, the web interface will avoid syncing before you regain connection. More information on how it functions can be found in our separate feature.

9. Preserve your data allocation

If you have a storage cap, you don’t want WhatsApp to eat it all up. Fortunately, you can control when media can be downloaded and how much data is used for calls.

iOS and Android users can navigate to Settings > Storage and Data > Media Auto-Download. To save data, connect to Wi-Fi only for each choice.

10. Determine how much data you are consuming.

If you’re concerned with the data consumption, you will see how much you’re using. You’ll get a breakdown of the overall number of messages sent and received, as well as the amount of data sent and received.

iOS and Android users can navigate to Settings > Storage and Data > Network Use.

11. Modify the background image of your WhatsApp message page.

WhatsApp comes with a default wallpaper that serves as the backdrop for all of your chats.

However, you can customize this wallpaper, including solid colors, your pictures, and a series of images from WhatsApp.

iOS: Settings > Chats > Wallpaper for Chats > Choose from the Wallpaper Library, Solid Colors, or Photos.

Android: Go to Settings > Chats > Chat Wallpaper and choose from the Wallpaper Library, Solid Colors, Gallery, Default, or No Wallpaper options.
