EduTECH Africa 2019 will share innovation in educational technology

The EduTECH Africa Conference for 2019 is hailed as Africa’s largest EdTech conference and exhibition for educators. It will be running from 9 to 10 October 2019.

The two-day event will be held at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg. On 9 October the event will start at 08:00 and it will end on at 17:00 the following day.

The event expects to have 3500 attendees, 80 exhibitors, 150 speakers, and 500 delegates. Around 500 senior executives in the education industry are also expected to attend.

The aim of the event is to share ideas and to inspire innovation in educational technology in Africa. The conference has been split into six tracks.

EdTECH’s interactive experience zones will allow buyers to touch, feel, see, interact, and use live products. The zones are meant to “create a social, practical and emotional learning experience for teachers to implement in education.”

Interactive experience zones need a sign up as seats are limited. Those who are keen can register for free on the website.

An individual Gold pass was priced at R5,000 with a group booking of R4,500 for three+ people. The group savings were indicated as R500 per person.

The benefits include having a VIP entrance at the conference, an event application (app), networking opportunities, and lunch and refreshments. Free passes are only individual ones and they require advanced registration.

Their benefits include an exhibition visitor pass, seminar theatre(s), and an event app for attendees.
