Rahul Tikoo, senior vice president for Commercial Product Group at Dell Technologies says this is “not just another Chromebook”. Tikoo goes on to explain that it “is designed equal parts for employees and IT managers”.

“Employees will appreciate its sleek design and collaboration features that help them navigate new work dynamics, while IT managers have the management and security features they expect when deploying devices in a corporate environment”.

In addition, the CEO and co-founder of Blueland, Sarah Paiji Yoo, adds that they are constantly evaluating the tools and tech to deliver the best product while staying true to their sustainability mission.

The Latitude 7410 Chromebook Enterprise is packed with sustainability features. Staying true to that goal also created new opportunities for Sarah’s team to “collaborate, stay flexible and continue to be productive” as continue on this remote-work journey.

Work anywhere

Executives and remote workers alike will benefit from the increased security and productivity features. Powering up is quick and effortless as the Chromebook as co-engineered with Intel as part of Project Athena.

It supports LTE mobile broadband and WiFi 6, and is equipped with a 10th generation Intel Core i7 processor. In short, it’s designed for bandwidth-intensive activities, and working in Google Sheets is up to 8.6 times faster.

Dell promises that the Latitude 7410 Chromebook will provide up to 21 hours of battery life. Furthermore, the device can charge from 0% to 35% in under 20 minutes, thanks to ExpressCharge Boost.

Pricing and availability in South Africa

The Chromebook will be available in 50 countries and with 14 localised language keyboards. John Solomon, Vice President of Chrome OS at Google concludes:

And South Africa? Good news! The Latitude 7410 Chromebook Enterprise will be available locally during the third quarter of 2020. The price point for the Latitude 7410 Chromebook starts from R26 000 excluding VAT.
