Liverpool blew away Spartak Moscow to seal top spot in Group E of the UEFA Champions League.

Captain for the night Philippe Coutinho hit a hat-trick for Jurgen Klopp’s men amidst the carnage as they struck seven for the second time this season.

After slotting home a penalty on four minutes, he then finished Roberto Firmino’s cross nine minutes later.

And Firmino put the game out of sight with just 18 minutes on the clock when he thumped in following shambolic Russian defending.

Sadio Mane’s thumping volley made it four straight after the break before Coutinho’s deflected effort made it a nap hand.

Mane dragged in the sixth from six yards out before Mohamed Salah got in on the act with the seventh as the Reds ran riot.

Sevilla were left grateful that their slip up in Slovenia didn’t cost them progression at Maribor.

Marcos Tavares’ shock 10th-minute opener was only cancelled out 15 minutes from time by Paulo Henrique Ganso.

Tottenham coasted past APOEL Nicosia at Wembley, with Group H supremacy already sorted.

Fernando Llorente made Spurs’ early pressure count with his first goal for the club on 20 minutes.

And Son Heung-min added the second before the break to shift the hosts into cruise control.

Georges-Kevin Nkoudou polished the night off with a third as Europe continues to soothe Mauricio Pochettino’s EPL woes.

Real Madrid gave up a two goal lead before eventually seeing off Borussia Dortmund.

Borja Mayoral broke the deadlock early on, before Cristiano Ronaldo doubled the advantage.

But Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s double fired the Germans level in the Spanish capital.

Lucas Vazquez hit back with the third, although Dortmund still secured a Europa League spot.

Manchester City finally came unstuck away to Shakhtar Donetsk, albeit with a much-changed side.

Bernard curled in a 26th-minute opener before Ismaily made it two thanks to a gaffe from keeper Ederson.

Feyenoord came form behind to win the final game of their miserable campaign at home to Napoli.

Piotr Zielinski put the Italians into an early lead, only for Nicolai Jorgensen to pop up with a surprise equaliser.

Jeremiah St. Juste was then on hand with the injury time winner.

FC Porto dismantled hopeless Monaco to make sure of second place in Group G.

Vincent Aboubakar struck twice and Yacine Brahimi added a third, with both sides having a man sent off in the meantime.

Goals from Kamil Glik and Radamel Falcao weren’t enough to spare French blushes, especially with Alex Telles and Francisco Soares adding a fourth and fifth either side for the hosts.

All of which left the result for RB Leipzig at home to group winners Besiktas completely irrelevant.

For the record, Alvaro Negredo’s penalty put the Turkish side ahead before half time.

Naby Keita thought he’d nicked a draw with his goal three minutes from time.

But Talisca put paid to that with his 90th-minute winner.
