And it won’t just be any medal, it will be a GOLD one!

Tatjana Schoenmaker will take to Lane 4 in the final of the women’s 100m breaststroke at 04:17 SA time and according to leading South African bookmakers Hollywoodbets will swim her way to victory.

The 24-year-old has been installed as a 11/10 favourite ahead of American world record holder Lilly King (13/10).

Another American, Lydia Jacoby, is next best at 7/1.

The win would put Schoenmaker half way to a 100m-200m breaststroke double, following in the footsteps of fellow South African Penny Heyns who achieved the feat 25 years ago at the Atlanta Olympics in 1996.
