Chad le Clos is South Africa’s most decorated Olympian of all time with four medals to his name.

While the 29-year-old will be focused on adding to that tally in Japan, his better half, Jeanni Mulder, has made it into the Top 30 for this year’s Miss South Africa.

The Top 30 contestants were announced this week and among the group was 24-year-old model Mulder.

Mulder was born and raised in Sea Point in Cape Town.

Le Clos and Mulder announced their relationship in 2018, posting a series of loved-up pictures of themselves on their respective social media accounts.

Durban-born Le Clos included a picture of Mulder as an Instagram story to show his support for her bid to become the newest Miss South Africa winner.

Le Clos memorably won the men’s 200m butterfly gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics beating American swimming superstar Michael Phelps to the wall.

He also added the silver medal in the 100m butterfly and four years later in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 he took silver in both the 100m butterfly and 200m freestyle.
