The Famous WSOP Circuit Back 2021-2022

If you are an avid professional poker fan, you may already be aware of a number of changes to the World Series of Poker that are taking place in the coming months. It is the highly anticipated return of the famous WSOP Circuit, however, that has perhaps had the greatest impact amongst professional poker fans following a longer than expected 18-month hiatus. It made its welcome return for its 17th season on November 25 last year at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort in Cherokee, North Carolina, immediately following the conclusion of the 2021 WSOP in Las Vegas, Nevada.

A brand-new format 

If you are familiar with the former format of the WSOP Circuit before it embarked on its 18-month hiatus, it may benefit you to know that a number of changes are set to take place when it returns this year. It has, for example, shifted its focus to ensure every event leads to a highly coveted WSOP bracelet with official gold ring winners from either the live or online Cherokee Circuit Event until July 2022 qualifying for the brand-new exclusive Tournament of Champions event at the 2022 WSOP. In addition, bracelet winners from live or online events will also be eligible to play in this signature event. 

A wide range of locations

In the past, WSOP Circuits have had a tendency to stick to the same locations from year to year. In 2022, however, a wide range of locations have already been added to give professional poker fans accustomed to attending in-person as well as tuning in online, at https://ggpoker.com for example, the opportunity to clear their schedules and make plans ahead of time. It may not necessarily be set in stone as of yet but to date, Isle of Pompano in Pompano Beach, Florida, Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York, and Deerfoot Inn and Casino in Calgary, Alberta, have already been announced as locations that will host events. The Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles, California, was also announced as the WSOPC’s second stop until the tour comes to a head and culminates at Harrah’s New Orleans on May 5, 2022. 

Additional changes 

If you were looking forward to the famous WSOP Circuit returning in 2021-2022, a number of recent news updates and developments have promised that and more. If you are planning to attend in person, it may also be worth familiarising yourself with as much information ahead of time to allow you to make plans in advance. It has been revealed, for example, that the vast majority of WSOPC stops will begin on Thursdays with four-day-long Main Events beginning on a Friday. In addition, every stop has been encouraged to include a number of Seniors and Ladies events with the winners also eventually making up part of the final table at the highly anticipated invitation-only Tournament of Champions event in Las Vegas. It has also been confirmed that every stop will offer a minimum of 12 gold ring events for both experienced and inexperienced poker players starting at $250 and accumulating in a $1,700 Main Event. 

If you missed the famous WSOP Circuit, you will be pleased to know that it will be making its welcome return for 2021-2022. It will, however, bring with it a brand-new format that has never been seen before, a wide range of locations with some already announced so far, and additional changes to the ways in which players can participate and when specific events are due to be held so professional poker fans can start making plans sooner rather than later.
