The Buccaneers have strengthened their coaching staff ahead of the new season.

One thing Orlando Pirates Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic coach lamented when he began his second stint at the club last season was his side’s poor finishing, something which has plagued South African football for years.
Ahead of the new campaign, the Buccaneers have sought to address that by employing a specialist whose main duty will be to help the men in black convert their chances into goals.

Frenchman Stéphane Adam was unveiled by the club yesterday as the latest addition to the technical team where he will serve as the Specialist Coach for Finishing. He joins the Soweto giants from French Ligue 1 outfit Lille.
“Adam is a former player himself with a career spanning over 14 years where he played for clubs such as Lille and FC Metz in France before joining Scottish club Hearts where made over 140 appearances for the club,” Orlando Pirates said in their website.
Who is Orlando Pirates finishing coach, Stéphane Adam?
As a player, Stéphane Adam played as a striker in a career spanning 13 years between 1988 and 2001.
He represented Lille and a host of other French clubs including Lille and Amiens, before departing his home country for Scotland where he enjoyed a long stint at Hearts.
His coaching career also began in the British Isles where he was part of the Kilmarnock dugout, before returning to Lille.

Will Adam solve Pirates’ goal-scoring woes?
Adam will have a decent group of attacking players to work with, which includes Zambian duo Justin Shonga and Augustine Mulenga, as well as new addition Kudakwashe Mahachi, who joined the club in the off-season from Golden Arrows.
However, he will also have a bit of a task on his hands with the likes of Thamsanqa Gabuza, who has managed just eight league goals in five seasons at Orlando Pirates.
Pirates started off the 2017/18 season slow off the blocks as they managed just 11 goals by the halfway mark, sitting seventh on the log. But, the second half of the season, they looked a completely different side, as they surged up the log, finding the net 30 times in their 15 league fixtures in 2018.
