Wales vs France, kick off at 9:15

The Rugby World Cup continues in the morning with the third quarterfinal between Wales and France. The winner of this particular clash will face off against one of Japan or South Africa in the semis. It’s the Dragons who go in as favourites in this one, but Les Bleus’ unpredictability makes it a tough one to call.

Japan vs South Africa, kick off at 12:15

The last semifinal spot will be determined just after noon, as Japan take on South Africa.

The hosts are playing their first ever quarterfinal, and come up against a side that has gone all the way in the tournament twice already. 

Telkom Knockout

Mamelodi Sundowns vs AmaZulu at Lucas Moripe Stadium, kick off at 15:00

With five quarterfinalists decided in the Telkom Knockout already, the Round of 16 continues with two more fixtures lined up for Sunday. One of those features Mamelodi Sundowns and AmaZulu, who battle it out in Atteridgeville. The Tshwane giants have faced just one defeat in all competition this season, and come up against a side that has managed a single victory in eight attempts, managing just four goals.

Highlands Park vs Black Leopards at Makhulong Stadium, kick off at 15:00

The day’s other Telkom Knockout encounter sees Highlands Park welcoming Black Leopards to Makhulong Stadium in Thembisa. The hosts have already had a good cup run, making it to the final of the MTN8, and will be looking to do one better in this particular competition.

Test cricket

India vs South Africa third Test, day 2 – starts at 6:00

After bad light put a premature end to proceedings on the first day of the third Test in Ranchi, South Africa will be looking to make some inroads in the afternoon session. India look to be on the way to another big first innings total with Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane both crossing the triple-figure mark. The visitors are on the brink of a series whitewash, having lost the first two matches by convincing margins.
