Cristiano Ronaldo was only unveiled 24 hours ago at Al-Nassr, and their social media accounts are already going into overdrive. Is it really all that surprising that CR7 has had this effect though?

Before officially announcing CR7 as their player, Al-Nassr had less than 500k followers on Instagram. Now, they’ve got 9.1 million followers and counting in less than one week.

Al-Nassr can now boast a bigger Instagram following than the following teams:
- Leicester City
- Inter Milan
- Ajax Amsterdam
- River Plate
- Boca Juniors
- AS Roma
- Fenernahce
- Napoli
Those are football clubs with some serious history and success under their belts.

Cristiano Ronaldo to make Al-Nassr debut against a former Kaizer Chiefs fan favourite
All eyes will be on Cristiano Ronaldo who could debut for Al-Nassr on Thursday January 5th against Al-Tai. Al-Nassr currently lead the Saudi Pro League standings while Al-Tai languish in seventh. 32-year-old Zimbabwean striker Musona, once of Kaizer Chiefs and Hoffenheim among others, has three goals from 10 appearances this term so far for Al-Tai.
