“As for the others, the club has decided to not renew their contracts in view of our endeavours to rebuild for success in the forthcoming 2022/2023 season.

“The club can also confirm the departure of assistant coach Vasili Manousakis and goalkeeper coach Moeneeb Josephs. We would like to thank all the players and the aforementioned members of the technical team for their service and wish them the best in their future endeavours.”

It’s now reported by Phakaaathi that SuperSport United are the front runners to sign the 34-year-old Luvuyo Memela

“SuperSport have already made their move with regards to getting the player to sign. They seem very interested and they are just now finalising a few things,” a source is quoted as saying.

“I heard they will be releasing Kudakwashe Mahachi and Memela is seen as a perfect example. Memela’s professional conduct on and off the field is what is attracting them. They feel he would be a good example to their young squad and be influential on the field as well.

“He is old if you look at his age, but in terms of performances, he is one of the top performers in the league.”
