Lionel Messi is the GOAT regardless of what happens in Sunday’s World Cup final, even Cristiano Ronaldo fanboys will admit it.

For club and country, he’s played 50 matches this year, scoring 33 goals and assisting 30. A truly unique, once-in-a-lifetime combination of goal-scorer and goal-creator.
Messi will not be satisfied if he doesn’t take the big one home on Sunday though. However, in terms of the GOAT discussion, there simply is no debate.
