The Glamour Boys signed Burundian striker Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana and Edmilson Dove after successful trial periods at the outset of the 2022-23 campaign. 10 other trialists were also with the club, but Amakhosi deemed that they weren’t fit for the badge. Among those were Bradley Cross, Balint Bajner, Christian Saile Bambouli, Maurizio Macorig, Neymar Canhembe, and Stanley Ratifo.

Zwane still scouring his networks to find top talent for Chiefs

On Thursday, Zwane confirmed that Chiefs are still on the hunt to add quality players to the group.

“We’re forever looking for good players as a club because we want to win silverware, we want to compete,” he told journalists.

“If we get good players, we’ll definitely go for them.

“Any good player that can come in that can add value, regardless of the position, any good player we’ll go for him.”

Zwane on Kaizer Chiefs scouting networks

Zwane was quizzed on Amakhosi’s scouting network in Africa and insisted the club have a team working tirelessly to profile potential recruits.

“We’ve got a team that is doing that job, behind the scenes. They’ve done quite well so far,” he added.

“That’s why it is key for us to profile the players before they get here and also have a closer look at them in action and from there we’ll come up with a decision.

“That’s the approach we’ve decided to take as a club.”
