Yusuf Maart goal draws BIG statement from FIFA on Twitter

Yusuf Maart scored a sublime goal from inside his own half to give Kaizer Chiefs the Soweto Derby bragging rights. Now FIFA has had their say.

We have all seen that sensational strike from Yusuf Maart to decide the Soweto Derby on Saturday.

Now, governing body FIFA have said that they’re aware of it too.

Yusuf Maart earns high praise for his sizzler

Maart’s strike didn’t go unnoticed, with the official FIFA account on Twitter giving him props and making a pretty bold claim in the process.

The strike has also stirred up some controversy though. Former FIFA referee Ace Ncobo says there was a foul by Khama Billiat on Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo in build-up to Maart’s wonder goal in the Soweto Derby.

“There was a foul, hand to the face, should’ve been a yellow card, should’ve been a free-kick.”
