Who’s next? Rhulani confirms Sundowns cheque book isn’t closed yet!

Mamelodi Sundowns have, so far, brought in FIVE new signings, but there could be more before the closing of the transfer window.

Mamelodi Sundowns have, so far, brought in FIVE new signings, but there could be more before the closing of the transfer window.

As things stand, Sundowns have acquired the services of Sipho Mbule, Abubeker Nassir, Ronwen Williams, Marcelo Allende and Abdelmounaim Boutouil who are both yet to arrive due to visa issues.

However, Mokwena revealed there will be more as they are yet to close the cheque book, and Bongani Zungu could be that player.

Zungu has been heavily linked with a sensational return to Sundowns since his departure from French Ligue 2 outfit Amiens SC last season.

He has reportedly been in talks with Sundowns who are the only big PSL team that showed interest in him after Kaizer Chiefs confirmed they were never after his services.

Mokwena was speaking to the media after watching his Sundowns team lose 1-0 to TS Galaxy on Wednesday when asked about the possibility of Zungu rejoining them.

“I don’t think the business is done and the club will make the necessary announcement. All I can tell you is that the cheque book is not closed yet,” said Mokwena.
