Victor Letsoalo once AGAIN the thorn in the flesh of Kaizer Chiefs!

Royal AM completed a season ‘double’ over Kaizer Chiefs at the Chatsworth Stadium as Victor Letsoalo’s penalty secured a hard-fought win.

Royal AM completed a season ‘double’ over Kaizer Chiefs at the Chatsworth Stadium in Durban on Sunday as Victor Letsoalo’s first half penalty secured a hard-fought 1-0 win.

The KwaZulu-Natal side were awarded a penalty in the 38th minute after Bernard Parker was adjudged to have fouled Zukile Mkhize in the penalty area.

Letsoalo stepped up to take it and held his nerve, placing his shot into the bottom-right corner.

Victor Letsoalo boosted Golden Boot chances

It was the Royal AM marksman’s ninth goal this season as he strengthened his second place in the race for the Golden Boot award.

Incredibly, it was also Letsoalo’s sixth PSL goal against Amakhosi in his career – the most the 28-year-old has scored against any opposition.

With their win, Royal AM moved up to second place in the standings, 17 points adrift of log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns. Royal AM have played one fewer match.

Kaizer Chiefs slipped to fourth, 18 points behind Masandawana.
