UPDATED DStv Premiership log: Orlando Pirates go TOP after narrow win!

Soweto giants Orlando Pirates are top of the DStv Premiership after another full round of midweek matches.

The Buccaneers beat Marumo Gallants 1-0 thanks to defender Paseka Mako’s third minute goal.

Orlando Pirates now have 11 points after six matches thanks to three wins, two draws and a single defeat.

However, before Buccaneers fans celebrate, both second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns and third placed AmaZulu, who both have 10 points, have played one fewer match.

Elsewhere on Wednesday there were wins for Mamelodi Sundowns (3-0 over Stellenbosch FC), Golden Arrows (1-0 over AmaZulu), SuperSport United (1-0 over Richards Bay) and Royal AM (1-0 over Maritzburg United).

The final match of the night between Chippa United and TS Galaxy ended in a goalless draw.
