It was reported in December that Ndlovu was unhappy at Pirates and was seeking a move away to get game time.

Ndlovu was initially linked with Cape Town City

Initially Ndlovu was linked with a move to Cape Town City, who were thought to be interested in taking the player on loan for the rest of the DStv Premiership season. However, it was later established that there were no talks between City and either of Ndlovu and Pirates. The latest after that, was that there was a likelihood that the versatile player would be remaining with the Buccaneers.

Now, with just four days remaining in the current January transfer window, it seems like the situation may yet change. That is because, it is believed that there is a club that is quietly plotting a way of signing Ndlovu from Pirates, behind the scenes. According to sources speaking to The Citizen that club is none other than his former team Maritzburg United and they seem to mean business.

Maritzburg United now want to sign him back from the Buccaneers

“They want to take him (Ndlovu) back on a permanent deal, they really want him because they don’t see the reason behind being at Pirates, but not playing. He was a star at Maritzburg, now he is just an ordinary player who doesn’t even play football that much. It’s stressful, we know because we played football, and when a player goes through that phase, it’s easy for him to find himself doing a lot of wrong things. We don’t want that, we don’t want to see our talent going to waste.” Said the source.

It remains to be seen how much more room Maritzburg would still have to manoeuvre in the transfer market, having already roped in the likes of Tawanda Macheke, Genino Palace, Lucky Baloyi, Steven Pereira and Friday Samu during this transfer window.
