Orlando Pirates are reportedly set to sign Ghanaian striker Kwame Peprah.

Peprah currently plies his trade in the Ghana Premier League for King Faisal.

Zambian midfielder hoping for PSL move and residency

Roderick Kabwe PSL transfer rumours

Black Leopards midfielder Roderick Kabwe is keen to remain in South Africa and earn his citizenship but is less interested in staying at the club relegated from the top-flight after a dismal 2020/21 campaign.

Kabwe told reporters that he has received offers from Zambia but is keen to remain in South Africa and ensure that he is playing in Africa’s richest league.

He was among the club’s better performers last-term and it appears likely that he will look to make a move to one of the clubs who struggled against Black Leopards in the relegation battle, such as Marumo Gallants or Chippa United.

Kabwe will qualify to be registered as a local player under Premier Soccer League rules in the next six months, giving clubs an extra incentive to bring him on board now.

The Sowetan have reported that AmaZulu coach Benni McCarthy is in no rush to bring in former Kaizer Chiefs star Hendrick “Pule” Ekstein and erstwhile Orlando Pirates winger Justin Shonga.

“We’ll have a look at them. Obviously, we’ve got a week to make it to the start of the season, so we’re not in a hurry to add. But when there’s quality players like that and they’re available, it costs us nothing to have a look at them and see if they fit in our squad or not. We’ve got a week or more to make a decision on them,” said McCarthy.

Both players have shown that they can be match-winners at PSL-level, but it remains to be seen if they can dazzle away from Soweto.
