New Mamelodi Sundowns left-back Terrence Mashego has expressed his delight after making his debut for his home town club.

The 26-year-old left-footer was brought on in the second half against AmaZulu where the Brazilians picked up a late 1-0 victory through Marcelo Allende’s stoppage time goal.
Mashego says wearing yellow and blue colours is a “special feeling”.

“As a player, I need to be prepared all times. So for me I’ve been prepared since I came to Sundowns,” Mashego told Sundowns TV after the match.
“From day one I was prepared, so when they told me I am in the 18 [matchday squad squad], I was prepared.
“And the coach called me I was prepared to deliver.
“It was a special feeling, I don’t want to lie I mean I believe it’s every child’s dream to represent his mother [hometown] team. For me it’s a special feeling.

Mashego was part of the TS Galaxy squad that won the Nedbank Cup in 2019 after defeating Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
“I just wanna win trophies, that’s the thing that coach Rulani [Mokwena] told me that ‘here at Sundowns we’re just winning trophies’,” he added.
“This is a special moment.”
