Erik ten Hag is furious about the controversial Cristiano Ronaldo interview and has reportedly told Man United bosses he should never play for the club again.

Ronaldo made a number of explosive claims against his employers in a 90-minute sit-down interview with Piers Morgan, which is scheduled to be aired of Wednesday.

However, Morgan has released several edited clips of the interview which was shared online and did a written version which was published in The Sun newspaper.

Among those slammed by Ronaldo, were current first team manager Ten Hag and club legends Gary Neville and Wayne Rooney. The Portuguese superstar said he felt ‘betrayed’ by the Red Devils and that he doesn’t respect Ten Hag.

In the latest development, ESPN reports that Ten Hag has delayed his family holiday to deal with the fallout from Ronaldo’s interview.

Ten Hag is believed to have held a meeting with co-chairman Joel Glazer, chief executive Richard Arnold and football director John Murtough on Monday to discuss the situation, and one of the key outcomes from the gathering was that Ten Hag does not want Ronaldo to ever play for Man United again and he told his bosses as much.

Ten Hag and his players are furious with the timing of Ronaldo’s verbal attack, with parts of the interview first made public just hours after teenager Alejandro Garnacho had scored a stoppage-time winner against Fulham.

Ronaldo has already been disciplined twice by Ten Hag this season.

He was first reprimanded in July for leaving early during a preseason friendly with Rayo Vallecano, and he was sanctioned again in October after his refusal to come on as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur. Ronaldo was ordered to train alone and was suspended for the 1-1 draw at Chelsea.
