Teko Modise has completed a sensational return to Chloorkop to join Mamelodi Sundowns as their new ambassador.

Modise will work hand-in-hand with Tiyani Mabunda who cut his playing career short to take up the new post at Sundowns.

Sundowns announced Modise’s return on their newly launched club magazine on Wednesday afternoon.

Modise admitted that he was honoured to be back at Sundowns; something he said he never thought would happen.

“I am very honoured and humbled to be back, everyone knows what I achieved with the club,” Modise told the Sundowns Magazine.

“To be back here is something that I thought would never happen. I have won trophies with the club and have memories here with all the superstars I played with,” he said.

Modise is confident that his return will get Sundowns fans excited, more so because he is not a stranger to the club after achieving a lot as a player.

“Being back as a brand ambassador is an exciting journey. The supporters are always thrilled when they can identify with a personality that can relate to them,” continued Modise.

And lastly, Modise can’t wait to contribute towards growing the Sundowns brand and ensuring that the players are relatable with the masses.

“I can’t wait to go out to further amplify the brand of the club to make sure we keep dominating, not only on the field but in all spaces.

“We want to make sure that the players are more relatable with the masses and those are some of the reasons we are here,” added Modise.
