Makua, 21, can play either in central midfield or on either wing and has put pen to paper on a two-year deal, as confirmed by the Birds on social media.
Swallows have already signed Kaizer Chiefs’ Darrel Matsheke, 23, and Lebohang Lesako, 23, on loan until the end of the 2022/23 season.

Meanwhile, defender Kwanda Mngonyama has reportedly also been snapped up by Swallows on a one-year deal after making little impression at Orlando Pirates last season, having joined them at the beginning of the 2021/22 campaign.
Mngonyama had joined the Buccaneers from Maritzburg United.

Swallows survived relegation by the skin of their teeth last season and will be hoping to avoid the stress of another such battle in their upcoming campaign.
They will kick off the new league season with a Soweto derby against Orlando Pirates at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday, 6 August at 15:00.
