SuperSport United boss reveals overseas interest for key player

SuperSport United CEO Stanley Matthews has revealed that the club’s midfielder Jamie Webber has caught the eye of overseas sides.

SuperSport United CEO Stanley Matthews has revealed that the club’s midfielder Jamie Webber has caught the eye of overseas sides.

The 24-year-old midfielder has impressed since he signed for Matsatsantsa from Stellenbosch FC in 2018.

However, SuperSport coach Gavin Hunt hasn’t utilised him that much this season as the former Stellies man has only made seven appearances in all competitions.

SUPERSPORT CEO ON WEBBER’S OVERSEAS INTEREST

“We have had a little bit of interest from overseas for Jamie Webber, so we’ll have a look at that,” Matthews told the media.

Meanwhile, Matthews also revealed that SuperSport United might lose the defender Luke Fleurs who has been heavily linked with Kaizer Chiefs.

Amakhosi have reportedly approached the Pretoria-based side for the services of the 22-year-old defender.
