SuperSport United announce exciting new technology partners

DStv Premiership side SuperSport United announced a partnership with leading technology giants Hauwei at a press conference on Thursday.

SuperSport revealed that the nature of their partnership with Hauwei will mainly assist with regards to monitoring player performance at the training grounds.

Huawei is set to come on board with some of the latest and leading gadgets that will seek to make this process a quicker and more accurate process.

“SuperSport United is pleased to announce Huawei Technologies as our preferred technology training provider,” said the club on its official website.

Club CEO Stan Matthews then went further to elaborate the reasons why they have agreed to their partnership with Huawei.

“At SuperSport United FC we pride ourselves on having to be innovative in order to keep our record as the fourth most successful club in PSL history.

“At the heart of our strategy is our focus on partnering with best of breed in key areas of club performance. We value our relationships for the long term – and we choose our partners wisely”.

The SuperSport boss then goes further to elaborate on the advantages of their partnership with Huawei.

“In Huawei, we believe we have found a wonderful high-performance technology training provider, which is best of breed – a strategic provider that brings world-class technological innovation and performance-enhancing capability to our players and our technical team.

“Huawei’s superior products and technology innovations will be the key driving force in our high-performance program at the club, data access and optimisation is at the heart of elite sport”.

Matthews then singles out some of Hauwei’s watches which he is most excited about, in terms of how they will benefit SuperSport players and club staff.

“The watches you see on the players enable the players to manage their fitness and lifestyle schedules with detail and precision. From heart rates to sleeping patterns our players and coaching staff will be able to monitor and track players’ fitness and lifestyle patterns as well as optimal performance levels and trends.”

Matthews was also quick to point out that, the partnership stretched beyond just the technology aspect, but also because of the similarities between what both the SuperSport and Hauwei brands represent.
