Sundowns likely to let Domingo go

Haashim Domingo has failed to agree terms with Sundowns on a new deal. Now, the Brazilians have reportedly identified Junior Mendieta as a potential creative midfield target. Kaizer Motaung Jr is a known admirer of Mendieta’s playing style and has made no secret of that. Now, according to SABC Sport, Sundowns are the frontrunners for his signature. This will be a blow for the Kaizer Chiefs sporting director’s plans.

ICYMI: Agent issues huge update on Orlando Pirates duo Ndah and Ofori

“Sundowns are now ready to bid for Mendieta, who had a phenomenal season, helping Stellies to a sixth-place finish on the Premiership table last month. It’s understood Mendieta has a buy-out clause, which isn’t likely to cost below R10-million for any suitors to lure him away from his current employers.” said SABC Sport.

Will the Brazilians swoop in and ruin Chiefs’ plans with a R10 million offer?
