There’s some fighting talk from a legit Sundowns and PSL legend ahead of their clash with Orlando Pirates this weekend.

ICYMI: Predicted Orlando Pirates XI vs Sundowns

Sundowns legend Kekana predicts a hammering for Orlando Pirates

Kekana is the most decorated player in the history of South African top-flight football with eight league titles to his name at Sundowns. He was truly one of Pitso Mosimane’s most trusted lieutenants in battle. In other words, he knows a thing or two about winning, and he thinks the Brazilians will be too strong for Pirates this weekend.

Kekana reveals how Sundowns can batter the Bucs

Kekana predicts that Pirates will try to catch Sundowns on the break but also believes that starving them of possession will render them ineffective.

Pirates and Sundowns are both in good form. Jose Riveiro’s side have won three PSL games on the bounce while the Brazilians are searching for a record-extending 15th consecutive top-flight win.

“Pirates are just excited by counter attacks and breaks and are looking for that space behind you,” Kekana told the club’s in-house channel.

“The biggest thing you can never do in Orlando is never share possession with them. Try by all means to have the midfielders on the ball all the time, deny them that opportunity to break.

“The team [Sundowns] needs to try and use the ball more and if you don’t give Pirates the ball, you know what’s going to happen, they open up, they get frustrated and then you can score three, four, five if you want. I think this is a match that requires mental strength.”
