THE CHASING PACK

  1. SuperSport United – Gavin Hunt’s Matsantsa a Pitori are just seven points behind Sundowns. United have the squad quality and coaching pedigree to stay on the leader’s heels.
  2. Richards Bay – This is the surprise team of the season under Vasili Manousakis with eight points off the top. It remains to be seen if the squad will be able to hold on in the business end of the season.
  3. Kaizer Chiefs – Arthur Zwane’s Amakhosi are 10 points behind Sundowns. It seems way too much to think of a title challenge but football is a dramatic game.
  4. Orlando Pirates – Bucs coach Jose Riveiro has said it himself that there are still plenty of points to fight for. Firstly, Pirates have to close the 15-point deficit. What the Sea Robbers can count is the immense depth of quality you find at their training ground.
