The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed a total of five suspensions for this weekend’s DStv Premiership matches.

FINAL MATCHES OF 2020 FROM 18-20 DECEMBER

Following the midweek action, four players and a coach will be absent from the final round of matches to be played in 2020 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 18-20 December.

Kaizer Chiefs, who will face MTN 8 runners-up Bloemfontein Celtic at the FNB Stadium on Saturday (18:00), will be without defender Philani Zulu.

Zulu picked up a red card in Amakhosi’s 2-1 defeat to SuperSport United earlier in the week and will not only miss this weekend’s encounter, but also their next match against Maritzburg United on Saturday, January 9.

Meanwhile, Celtic will be without defender Ronald Pfumbidzai, who was sent off in the MTN 8 final defeat to Orlando Pirates and served the first of his two-match ban in their 2-0 midweek win over Baroka FC on Wednesday.

Chiefs have struggled this season and after seven matches find themselves down in a lowly 13th place in the standings. Bloemfontein Celtic will be a tough nut to crack for Gavin Hunt’s men, even at home.

Finally, Chippa United will have two players missing in Mduduzi Sibeko and Sandile Mthethwa.
