Former Orlando Pirates starlet Lyle Foster is set to be on the move once again according to reports from Portugal.

At just the age of 20, Lyle Foster is set to play for his fifth club after failing to impress at Vitória Guimarães SC out in Portugal. Foster has been tipped with a loan move to an unnamed Belgian club for the 2021/2022 campaign.

The former Orlando Pirates academy graduate is currently on national duty with David Notoane’s men after making the final South African squad for the Olympics in Tokyo.

Former Orlando Pirates starlet Lyle Foster poised for yet another move

“South African striker Lyle Foster, who will participate in the Tokyo Olympics, is not part of Vitória’s plans for next season. And when he returns from his participation in the Olympics, he already knows that he will leave for a new adventure in his career, being loaned to a Belgian club.” Portuguese publication GuimaraesDigital reported regarding the ex Orlando Pirates starlet.

“The agreement between the parties provided for a mandatory purchase option in the amount of €1.5 million. The signing of Lyle Foster by Vitória last season represented a considerable financial effort on the part of the Victorian SAD, but the truth is that the player could not justify the bet in his first year of association with the club.

“He enjoyed limited game time in the first team and for the B team he also played a handful of games. Like the Norwegian Noah Holm, it will now be lent on loan, with Vitória keeping an eye on its evolution.”

After making a blockbuster move from Orlando Pirates to French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco, Foster struggled for game-time before being offloaded to Belgium side Cercle Brugge.
