Sipho Mbule makes his choice between Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns!
Supersport United midfielder Sipho Mbule’s future continues to be the subject of much speculation as both Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns remain interested.

Supersport United midfielder Sipho Mbule’s future continues to be the subject of much speculation as both Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns remain interested.

Both Chiefs and Sundowns have been leading the charge for the Supersport man, and now it has been revealed which team he would rather play for.
Mbule transfer saga continues
The previous transfer window was dominated by transfer speculation linking Mbule with a big money move away from Supersport. The lead in terms of securing his signature kept exchanging hands between Chiefs and Sundowns, with almost every new report. Supersport had also made very little secret of their wish to sell the player abroad, instead of any of their two local rivals.
In the end, all of those reports proved to be futile as Mbule stayed put at Supersport United, as he said he would in one of his Instagram stories during that time. It then emerged earlier this week, however, that the race for his signature was more than just a two-horse race between Chiefs and Sundowns. Club spokesperson David Sikhosana then shed more light on the other clubs that are also interested in the South African junior international’s signature, including Chiefs arch-rivals Orlando Pirates!
Supersport United prefer to sell abroad
But in reality it is both Chiefs and Sundowns who are in a straight shoot out for Mbule’s services if Supersport are to sanction a local move. Matsatsantsa CEO Stan Matthews as well as Mbule’s representatives have always maintained their preference to sell the player overseas but should that not materialise, the players’s preferred local destination has been revealed.

According to Kick Off Mbule has chosen Chiefs as his preferred destination, but with the matter mainly to be decided between the clubs, it is believed that Sundowns have the upper hand in the pursuit of his services.

“Both Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs are said to be strongly linked with an interest in acquiring the Bafana Bafana international. Although the player is believed to prefer a move to Naturena, the Dstv Premiership defending champions are said to be leading the race for Mbule’s signature.” The publication states.

Sundowns have the financial muscle while Chiefs may have the glamour club pull and would present Mbule with more opportunities for regular game time so those above may indeed prove accurate, but who will get his signature in the end?
