Siphiwe Tshabalala set for sensational Chiefs return – report
Siphiwe “Shabba” Tshabalala could reportedly take up a key role within the Kaizer Chiefs club ahead of the next season.

Tshabalala enjoyed a famed career at Chiefs between 2007 and 2018, and is one of Amakhosi’s favourite sons.
The 37-year-old has repeatedly said he is not done with the game, and now according to Phakaaathi, he could be brought back to work in the Amakhosi development ranks.
It’s reported that Tshabalala will serve as the team manager of DStv Diski Challenge team, while another former Chiefs legend Reneilwe “Yeye” Letsholonyane will coach the side.

Apparently the fact that both players have such a long history and understanding with the club served as a key factor in the appointments that could be confirmed soon.
Amakhosi have now gone seven years without a trophy, and Kaizer Chiefs Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jnr has admitted that there is a need for a clear road map to be paved for the way ahead.

Chiefs have undergone a shake-up among players and coaches
At the highest level, it was recently confirmed that Arthur Zwane will be taking on the head coach job permanently on a three-year deal, while Dillon Sheppard will serve as Zwane’s assistant.
“Yes, I’ve been given that opportunity to lead as the head coach, but there will be other technical staff members who will be helping me,” Zwane said.
“As much as my head is on the block, I will still listen to them, because I trust all of them because no man is an island. If you want to apply for failure, just be a ‘Hitler’ and rule like him. What you say goes and you don’t listen to other people.
“Unfortunately, in this day and age in a game of football you are never going to get it right. You have to listen to other people and I’m lucky because I’m surrounded by good people and am getting support from the chairman, the board, sporting director [Kaizer Motaung Jnr] and football manager [Bobby Motaung] and the head of technical [Molefi Ntseki]. I consider myself lucky.”

Zwane, who also enjoyed an illustrious playing career at Chiefs, has shared how much it means to him now that he has officially taken up the top job at Amakhosi.
“I have always been saying to those close to me… I told them eight years back that I’m working hard and spending sleepless nights to be a head coach that will be out to make the team win and not just to add numbers,” said Zwane, as quoted by KickOff.com.
“One of the reasons I wanted to play for this team as a player was because of the winning culture and mentality. That is what inspired me and made me work hard to wear this jersey as a player. That was a dream come true.
“Here I am today. There are people seated here who know that I told them that one day I will be the head coach. I knew that there will be challenges. Every setback was a wake-up call and here I am today.”
