Sibisi sends message to Orlando Pirates fans after Soweto derby loss

Orlando Pirates defender Nkosinathi Sibisi has sent a message to Buccaneers’ fans following their defeat to Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.

Sibisi says conceding Maart’s goal was merely a “misunderstanding”.

“We knew it wasn’t going to be easy,” Sibisi told PiratesTV.

“It’s a a derby of course, you could see they wanted it as much as we did and I guess it was just a bit of a misunderstanding, we lost the ball at the centre and we conceded unfortunately.

“But we keep our heads up and fight to the next game. It’s a process, I’ve said it already, we’re in a process and I think we have to trust the process.

“It’s going to be up and down, they should keep on supporting us and I’m sure we’ll make them happy.”

The Sea Robbers will now brace themselves for the MTN8 final against AmaZulu on Saturday, 5 November at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Kick-off will be at 18:00.
