Sekhukhune United unveil former Kaizer Chiefs centre-back

Sekhukhune United have unveiled ex-Kaizer Chiefs centre-back Daniel Cardoso just over a week after reports of the deal emerged in the media.

Sekhukhune United have unveiled former Kaizer Chiefs centre-back Daniel Cardoso just over a week after reports of the deal emerged in the media.

Cardoso had been without a club since his departure from Chiefs in June where spent seven years between 2015 and 2022.

Sekhukhune took to their social media platforms to announce Cardoso as their player without revealing details around the length of his contract.

Nonetheless, indications are that Cardoso has put pen to paper on a three-year deal, which could mean he would be at Sekhukhune until 2015.

Furthermore, Sekhukhune United announced the acquisition of Katlego Mkhabela from Free State Stars whom he joined in 2018.

Mkhabela is a 26-year-old right-back who broke into the professional ranks in 2018 following his stint with amateur club Arsenal FC in the SAB League.

“Babina Noko are continuing to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2022/23 DSTV Premiership football season with the latest signings of Katlego Mkhabela from Free State Stars and Daniel Antonio Cardoso from Kaizer Chiefs respectively,” the club said in a statement.
