SAFA visit former Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs star Dumisa Ngobe

SAFA visited former Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Dumisa Ngobe at his home in Witbank on Thursday.

The South African Football Association (SAFA) visited former Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Dumisa Ngobe at his home in Witbank on Thursday.

SAFA’s visit comes after it emerged over a week ago that Ngobe had suffered a stroke.

The SAFA delegation was led by president Danny Jordaan, medical chief Thulani Ngwenya and the association’s NEC member Linda Zwane.

“SAFA President Dr Jordaan together with NEC member, Linda Zwane and SAFA medical chief, Dr Thulani Ngwenya, visited former Bafana Bafana midfielder Dumisani Ngobe in Witbank/Emalahleni on Thursday. Ngobe suffered a stroke last week and is recovering well at home,” reads a tweet from SAFA.

Ngobe, a Bafana Bafana midfielder during his playing days, confirmed spending seven days in hospital.

However, he was discharged from hospital and is currently recovering from home.

Last week, Ngobe confirmed that the only thing he’s struggling with at the moment is his speech after narrating the events leading up to him suffering from a stroke.
