The 26-year-old is a former Ajax Cape Town, Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City player who joined his former club, now Spurs, after a season with Cape Umoya.

Riyaad Norodien played 28 matches for Ajax Cape Town, 15 for Orlando Pirates and 29 for Cape Town City.

It was a difficult campaign with Spurs narrowly avoiding relegation from the GladAfrica Championship to the ABC Motsepe League.

Norodien, who was on a short-term deal, has decided to look for a new challenge.

Speaking to Kickoff, the former South Africa under-23 player said: “I’m a free agent. I have [no offers] yet on paper.

“It was just a one-year deal and after the position [14th] we ended up in, I think they felt it was best to part ways.”

Norodien featured 81 times in South Africa’s top-fight since making his first-team debut for the now-defunct Ajax Cape Town in the 2014/15 season, scoring 11 goals and registering five assists.

He also has two Bafana Bafana caps to his name.
