Thabang Monare is closing in on a swift return to the DStv Premiership following his Orlando Pirates exit.

The Buccaneers confirmed Monare’s departure last week following a four year stay at the club.

Monare, now 34-years-old, is set to make an immediate return to the top-flight with SuperSport United reportedly keen on signing him.

Matsatsatsantsa, managed by Monare’s former mentor Gavin Hunt (at Bidvest Wits), are set to add some much needed experience to their youthful squad.

And reports suggest the ex-Pirates midfielder is at the top of Hunt’s wishlist!

Monare made 93 appearances for Orlando Pirates during his spell at the club. He managed to find the back of the net once while registering two more assists for the Buccaneers.
