Richards Bay continue to struggle in the DStv Premiership after a promising start to the 2022/23 season.

The newcomers to the top flight this season spent the vast majority of the first half of the campaign in second place in the standings, but have slipped of late and are now firmly looking over the shoulders.

After 27 (of 30) DStv Premiership matches this season, the Natal Rich Boyz are in 10th place in the standings with 32 points.

Richards Bay will now do well to clinch a Top 8 spot and a berth in next season’s lucrative MTN8 tournament – something that looked a certainty not so long ago.

Incredibly, they are only seven points ahead of bottom side Maritzburg United – and have played one more match.

Richards Bay’s biggest struggle has been in front of goal with a league low 18 goals scored in 27 matches to date.
