The last time ‘Shasha’ was seen on the field was when Masandawana played to a goalless draw with Orlando Pirates in the MTN8 semi-final first-leg.

He has missed six games to date, but Mokwena says the 29-year-old will be back earlier than expected.

MOKWENA ON SHALULILE’S INJURY

“We expect him on the green grass sooner than we think, he’s at home, he’s resting, he’s watching this game, I’m sure he’s supporting us with all the prayers and the well wishes,” Mokwena told SuperSport TV when asked about the striker.

“But ja, he’ll be back, he’s a fighter, he’s a very good boy.”

MOKWENA’S VERDICT ON ROYAL AM’S CLASH

“They were very aggressive and I said to the boys, ‘Don’t let them bully you’ because they we’re very good on the ball, we’re very technical and we’re patient to try open things up,” he said.

“But in the 50/50s they were extremely aggressive and sometimes we allowed that aggression that came to force us into rushed passes and instead of being press resistant and a little stronger.

“And so in the second-half we were a little bit better, we controlled the possession a bit more, we controlled both boxes a little bit and dominated the pitch a little bit more, because we were not afraid of the physicality.

“But a good fight and hats off once more to Mamelodi Sundowns, particularly the players.”
