PSL result: Golden Arrows snap winless run in Durban
Golden Arrows ended a four-match winless run with an emphatic 3-0 victory over TS Galaxy on Wednesday afternoon.

Golden Arrows ended a four-match winless run with an emphatic 3-0 victory over TS Galaxy on Wednesday afternoon at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in Durban.
Arrows hadn’t won at home since February but the three points garnered ensured they moved three points clear of Orlando Pirates in the race for third place and the Caf Confederation Cup spot.
Team news
Arrows recalled Seth Parusnath, Nduduzo Sibiya, Velemseni Ndwandwe and Pule Mmodi to their starting XI.
The visitors, TS Galaxy, rung the changes, with only Mlungisi Mbunjana, MacBeth Mahlangu, Spiwe Msimango and Ethan Brooks retaining their Starting XI places.
Match report
Golden Arrows were rewarded for a strong start when Michael Gumede’s first-time side-footed finish gave them the lead in the seventh minute.
Pule Mmodi would double Abafana Bes’thende’s lead in the 32nd minute with a spectacular volley from outside the box, whoch gave the hosts control of the fixture.
A brace of half-time changes from Owen Da Gama spurred Galaxy into life but they couldn’t convert their chances to get back into the match.
Ntsako Makhubela killed the game off on the hour after making it 3-0 for Arrows with a diving header inside the box after a first-time ball from Sibiya.
Sibiya, who was himself the victim of a horror challenge in the match, received his marching orders after a second bookable offence.
Divine Lunga, who provided the assist for the opening goal was named man of the match.
