Since last season concluded, Chiefs have dramatically overhauled their squad in hopes of breaking their PSL title drought. The new season is set to start on Saturday, 6 August with the MTN8, while the DStv Premiership is set to kick off off on Friday, 12 August. The GladAfrica Championship season will start the weekend thereafter on Saturday, August 20.

TRANSFER TALK: CHIEFS LOOK UNLIKELY TO WELCOME MMODI … FOR NOW

Besides welcoming several new players to Naturena, Chiefs have also let others go, many of whom were deemed surplus to requirements.

Now, in a strategic move, KickOff.com reports that Kaizer Chiefs and Swallows FC are close to finalising a loan deal for both Darrel Matsheke and Lebohang Lesako.

The duo, who recently returned from successful loan spells at Uthongathi FC, will be hoping to gain some top-flight experience as they look set to spend a season with the Dube Birds.

“Nothing is set in stone but it’s almost a done deal and just a matter of final agreements before an official announcement is made so that the boys can get started,” the source told KickOff.com.
