Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana legend yet to decide whether to play – or quit

Reneilwe Letsholonyane says he is yet to make a decision regarding his future ahead of the upcoming 2021/22 DStv Premiership season.

Reneilwe Letsholonyane says he is yet to make a decision regarding his future ahead of the upcoming 2021/22 DStv Premiership season.

The star midfielder remains without a club following his release from TS Galaxy.

Reneilwe Letsholonyane, now 39, is currently studying towards his coaching license, but is not ready to retire.

He told the Sowetan: “I don’t know what will happen, whether I will retire or not. Now it is the off-season and I don’t want to get involved in football matters as I’m resting.

“I will only think about football towards the start of the new season. Now allow me to rest and not think about football-related issues.

“I take this time to reflect on the previous season and try to plan what to do differently in the next coming year. The club-hunting and all that, I leave it to my manager.

“In the next few weeks, I will sit down with my manager and plan the way forward and make a decision.”

Reneilwe Letsholonyane played 70 matches for Jomo Cosmos before moving to Kaizer Chiefs where he represented the Glamour Boys on 173 occasions.

He then enjoyed 68-match stint with SuperSport United.

Reneilwe Letsholonyane has 50 Bafana Bafana caps to his name.
