TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic took a swipe at Rulani Mokwena and Mamelodi Sundowns after the teams played to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday.

The Rockets looked on track to cause an upset after taking the lead through Puso Dithejane in the 78th minute of that game.

However, Sundowns fought hard for an equaliser, and they got it four minutes from time, thanks to Peter Shalulile’s goal.

After the game, both Ramovic and Mokwena didn’t shake hands, and tension ensued between the two benches in reaction to that.

The backroom staff, the players and other officials from both TS Galaxy and Sundowns got involved, and police had to jump in and intervene.

Now, in his post-match interview, Ramovic took a swipe at Mokwena and Sundowns, saying he doesn’t need to spend millions of Rands to win games.

He feels TS Galaxy outclassed the expensive Sundowns team throughout the game, adding that perhaps Mokwena should buy top-class players such as Kylian Mbappe, Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi to beat his team.

Ramovic didn’t stop there, as he somehow appeared to be undermining Mokwena’s coaching qualifications after the game.

Mokwena holds a CAF A Coaching License while Ramovic boasts a UEFA Pro License – and the TS Galaxy mentor said perhaps it’s time for his counterpart to upgrade.

“I think we dominated the game; we outclassed them. We just believed in how we play, and we should have won, but in my heart, we won the game,” said Ramovic to SuperSportTV after the game.

“Because we showed we cannot just win with million dollar players, we can also win with million dollar attitude like theirs, so I have to give a lot of credit to my players.

“It was unbelievable the way they played, and everything else is just too much – I don’t want to talk about this ‘sunshine’,” mocked Ramovic.

“I think that we showed the quality we have, my staff, and me as a coach because to spend over R200 million for players, my advice is maybe he should buy Mbappe, or Ronaldo and Messi so that he can beat us maybe the next time,” he continued.

“Or maybe he should get the highest education as a coach because this is what he doesn’t have, but all in all, we are happy. All the credit, all the attention should go to my players, and that’s it,” he concluded.
