It may be a Monday, but the PSL rumour mill is not suffering from any weekend hangover with fresh speculation surrounding Kaizer Chiefs and South Africa’s other prominent clubs.

Kaizer Chiefs target Fleur, open to a move

SuperSport United defender Luke Fleurs appears to have been targeted by Kaizer Chiefs as a potential replacment for Eric Mathoho who appears to be headed towards the exit.

Fleurs has already made a big career move when he switched from Ubuntu FC in Cape Town to the Tshwane-based club and could now make the switch to Soweto.

The player revealed that he has not spoken to anyone from Kaizer Chiefs but is flattered by the links and motivated to continue to work hard and progress as a player.

“I don’t know anything about Chiefs, they haven’t contacted me and my agent hasn’t said anything, I’m just going with the flow at SuperSport here,” he told KickOff.com.

“I’ve read things online and on social media but I nothing from the club or agent, if something comes, something bigger, you never know maybe I will be open to it.

“I would never say no for something bigger, an overseas move is obviously something [I think about] but obviously going to the Olympics is another goal and try to get seen there and see what happens from there.

“If offers come, they come, if it doesn’t, unlucky.”

Meanwhile another veteran, in Tsepo Masilela, will be released from the club.

“Shabba will be moved to the club’s marketing department while Tsepo Masilela will be released,” the source said.
